01 Introduction
Welcome to Zedek (Formerly known as chamaspace). These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Zedek, a product of Jeld Investment Ltd. (referred to as "Zedek", "we", "us", or "our") regarding your access to and use of our financial platform, website, and mobile application.
By creating an account or using any part of the Zedek services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Zedek is a product of Jeld Investment LTD. Please note that it is important for you to read and understand these entire Terms of Service before you decide to accept them and proceed with registration.
02 Service Description
Zedek is a multi-product financial technology platform designed to provide users with total financial control through communal and individual tools. Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Communal Savings (Chamas): Tools for managing merry-go-rounds, goal-based group savings, and contribution tracking.
- Kopeshana P2P: A peer-to-peer lending marketplace where Zedek acts as a platform facilitator.
- Expense Tracking: Personal and family budgeting tools with project-specific tracking (e.g., wedding budgets).
- Digital Bookkeeping: Automated ledger systems for Chamas and small ventures.
- Zedek Wallet: A digital account for instant peer-to-peer transfers and fund management within the Zedek ecosystem.
We strive to ensure the platform is available 24/7, however, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access due to necessary maintenance or external network issues.
03 User Responsibilities
To use Zedek, you must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintaining the accuracy of your account information.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Complying with all local and international financial regulations and laws.
04 Account Security
Security is the cornerstone of Zedek. We employ bank-grade encryption and adhere to strict compliance regulations to protect your data. However, security is a shared responsibility.
You agree to:
- Use a strong, unique password for your Zedek account.
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) if offered.
- Notify us immediately at info@chamaspace.com if you suspect any unauthorized access.
- Never share your login credentials or PIN with third parties.
05 Prohibited Activities
Violation of these prohibitions may lead to immediate account termination without notice:
- Engaging in money laundering or any fraudulent financial activity.
- Using the platform for illegal transactions or to store illicit funds.
- Attempting to circumvent platform security or manipulate the P2P lending system.
- Harassment, abuse, or intimidation of other community members.
- Automated scraping or system-wide data extraction without written consent.
06 Intellectual Property
All content on the platform, including logos, designs, text, graphics, and underlying code, is the exclusive property of Zedek and protected by intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the services for your personal use. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute Zedek's IP without prior written authorization.
07 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZEDEK PROVIDES THE SERVICES "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. Zedek shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of the platform.
08 Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation with our legal team.
09 Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account or through a notice on the platform dashboard.
Your continued use of Zedek after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
